Transit-Oriented Development (TOD): Developing Affordable and Workforce Housing at Public Transit Stations
The panel will explore the opportunities to develop housing for low- and moderate-income households adjacent to public transit stations, and how transit-oriented development of this type can leverage underutilized public property (such as surface parking lots), reduce parking demand, and facilities efficient commutes for working families. The panel will discuss recent TOD housing projects in which they are involved, as well as common challenges and potential solutions.
